HUAWEI : How to Configure the HG8254Q Model Huawei Router as ACCESS POINT Mode.

HUAWEI HG8245Q : Intelligent Routing Type Optical Network Terminal (ONT) SOHO Device.

It's a high-end residential gateway in the Huawei FTTH solution with GPON technology. It has specific features - 

• 2x POTS Ports
• 4x GE Ports
• 2x USB 2.0 Ports
• 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz concurrent Wi-Fi
• IEEE 802.11 b/g/n(2.4 GHz)
• IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac(5 GHz)
• 3×3 MIMO
• Wavelengths: US 1310 nm, DS 1490 nm

Work Process-

1. Reset the Router by using backside reset button.

2. Wait for a while, and finding login webpage using default IP Address. Mentioned the info downside of router stand.

3. Go to the LAN Tab >> Check the all LANs from "LAN Port Work Mode" option from left side navigation bar.

4. Click on "LAN Host Configuration" Option >> Assign the Static IP Address + Subnet Mask (Primary DHCP Server IP) 

5. Next Click "DHCP Server Configuration" option >> uncheck the "Primary DHCP Server" 

6. Go to WLAN Tab >> Configure the SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G Wireless

7. Finally, test by your handheld devices.

This is how, you may configure AP rather than Router mode of HUAWEI Router.
